To begin with the Holidays of the year :
All Saint's Day : During those holidays french people will visit their family.The majority of French people are not used to go abroad in this period.French people are used to celebrate halloween with their friends and their family. Those holidays are from the 18th of October to the 3rd of November.

Christmas holidays: French people get used to celebrate chritmas and the new year with their family, other people will celebrate it at home or in mountain to ski. Those holidays are from the 20th of December to the 5th of January.
Winter
holidays: French people are accustom to go to mountains but lot of
persons will go to the sea too. Those holidays are from the 7th of February to the 23rd.
Spring
holidays: French people will take avantage of the weather to go to
the sea, in the parks of their city because the main thing is to
enjoy the Sun. Those holidays are from the 11th of April to the 27th.
All
the holidays go on two weeks.
Events of charity
The
rice bowl: We can do or not this action but it's recommended. It
consists to eat rice bowl for the price of a normal meal, furthermore
the money that was not used to pay the rice is donated to an
association.
The
humanitary challenge: It's for all class levels, it's in two parts:
one with questions about Brazil and one that is a sport
competition.To participate you must give one euro for the
association.
Exams
The school certificate is an exam with 3 subjects:
history-geography, french and mathematics. This exam is obligatory for all pupils in year 10.

The
PET is an exam of English of Cambridge for the pupils which want to
do this exam. It's an exam to approve the level B1 of English. There
is 5 parts: an oral comprehension, an oral expression, an oral
interaction, a reading comprehension and a writing expression.
We
have also some exams like the history of arts. It's an obligatory oral
evaluation to take in year 10 in June. It's an evaluation included in
the diploma of 5 minutes where you have to present a work and tell what
you know on it. It's an excellent way to train to speak and express
yourself in front of a jury.
TRIPS
Saint Augustin is a catholic school but also a European school and we do many trips around the world. We do also exchanges with some pen-pal.
We go o the North of Europe:
- In England (year 8, 10), Ireland (year 7).
To the East of Europe:
- In Germany (year 9), Belgium (year 9) and Poland (year 10).
To the South of Europe:
- In Spain (year9, 10).
And also out of Europe:
- In India (year 10) and Russia (year 8).
We go to India in November. Russia, Poland in February. Ireland, Spain in March. England in April and Belgium in May.
When the pen-pals come in France, in Angers, we do many things.
In the morning, we are all together at school and we do some English activities on the computers, we do some reports with our pen-pals and some other activities to meet more with your pen-pal. It's an excellent way to get closer to your new friend!
It is also an amazing experience to travel with your class and your friends around the world because it reinforces the relation ships between the pupils.

In Saint Augustin, we do also some challenging activities like the cross country race.
It's a race for all pupils who live in the same department, not obligatory.
We do it in January and it takes place in Saint Sylvain d'Anjou.
It's a race of 3 kilometers and it join all different people in the same department and it's wonderful!
