In school Europe is omnipresent, lots of European students come at school : English ; Irish ; Polish ; Spanish ; Russian...
On the 9 May, it's the European day, and all the school is gathered to hear headmaster's speech, to explain us, which is Europe's importance ! A quizz is organized too, to learn to the youngest students Europe in general. But Europe is better represent by European Section.
St Augustin is a European school, in addition to that it exists a European Section.
To begin with European section is just for Year 9 and Year 10. To integrate the European class, pupils who want take an oral test. In the oral test, we speak about our motivation. In European class, we always speak about Europe (in French, in English, in History). For example in English in Years 9, we had to do and search news about Europe or the European Union. Each Monday, in class we shared this news, and we spoke about that. What's more in European, we learn about the European Countries and European capitals. In April 2014, during 3 days we went to Brussels, we discovered the European parliament. It was so interesting ! In European class, there is a partnership with Year 9 and Year 10. At beginning of each year, a European breakfast is organized. In Years 10, we have to prepare « Christmas Quiz ». Generally Year 9 and Year 10 present a presentation for pupils who are in Years 7. Last year, we spoke about South of Africa.
As you can see St Augustin is really a European school !
